We have been sent some update pictures and video from the Iditarod Return Dog officials of our team in McGrath, knowing you are all anxious to find out how they are doing.
As you can see, they are great! They are being pampered by everyone and have been basking in the sunshine. They will catch a jet out to Anchorage and arrive (weather permitting) Friday night and then will be trucked home. Wonder crew Mark and Karolyn will be picking up our precious cargo.

Those are the best pictures ever!!! Very welcome photos. Thank You Vet staff and Volunteers in McGrath! I teared-up watching that .Happy tears for happy dogs.

That might just be the best video yet from the Iditarod 2021 Crew! What a welcome relief. The dogs areas looking good. I bet Rockstar Commando is continuing to lead by example and keeping spirits up!! Thankful to the volunteers and vet crew.
I teared up too…I was getting anxious and missed not seeing them. I knew they were being well taken care of…but thank you for this post…I needed this! And thank you folks from Rohn and McGrath…the dogs look happy!

Thanks so much for continuing to keep us in the loop! The dogs look great, so nice to hear they will be back home at SP Kennel very soon. It looks like they are being very well cared for while they await the transfer, thanks goes to the volunteers in Rohn and McGrath.
I am sure Aliy, Allen and the entire SP Kennel team will be relieved when they are back in the yard again as we will be too! Keeping our positive thoughts going your way Aliy! Love to you all!!

Agree with all above..so great to see dog faces. And they are getting some butt-scratching from the volunteers! What a great job they do to care for bodies and spirits. Can’t wait for news of wheels down in Anchorage for the ride home! It won’t be long now.

Looks like they need to be taken out on a run!! So good to see them and find out Aliy is doing well. I’m sure she is at least enjoying being an iditarod insider while she heals. I would have loved an interview with Liz and Aliy! She is a great edition to that team. The race is the not same without you! ..wishing you all the best 🙂
