Science & Body Temperature

Introduction

What is the big deal about getting your body temperature taken these days? What does it mean if you have a fever? Two of our happy Alaskan husky sled dogs are here to help you understand how body temperature is created and why it is important.

Learning Objectives

Students will learn how the body creates internal heat. They will discover that dogs and humans have different “normal” ranges for healthy body temperatures. They will understand the cause and effect of a fever.
