We had planned to do a bunch of Dog Fan Club draws during the Iditarod. Obviously, we didn’t get to that so to catch up we have randomly drawn another SIX names today.

Congratulations to Angela & Bob Pressley who are fans of Nomex, Perky fans Bill & Sue Wyman, Chipper fan Juleen Payne, David W Anderson who is a fan of Dutch, Rodney fan Mary Parmenter and Marie Howard who is a fan of QT. Everyone wins a packet of SP Kennel M&Ms plus a glam shot of their dog and some other kennel goodies.

Nomex is a humble guy who loves to smooch and to run, in equal measure. Perky was well named from the moment he was born – a perky lad who revs things up!

Chipper THINKS she rules the roost. She is small, feisty and has a lot to say to everyone and anyone, including all the local wildlife. Dutch ACTUALLY rules the roost. He is the bomb and is a hugely successful sled dog. He’s the main leader who has done it all.

We wish we could bottle Rodney’s energy and enthusiasm, it might make us rich! He is happy, funny and delightful to have around. QT is just one of those girls you’d envy. You know the ones – smart, talented, confident and gorgeous. C’mon QT, give the rest of us a chance!

  • Every time there is a dog fan club draw I have this strange craving for M&Ms. Ha. Congrats all around!

    • Thank you !!! This is awesome!! Perky is a magnificent dog. Hope that Aliy is on the mend.

    • Hi Aliy, I’m a 61 year old lady who lives in Jacksonville Florida. I went to Alaska 2.5 months short of 2 years ago. I rewarded myself and encouraged myself to recover from breast cancer. Saying if I recovered enough I’d go to Alaska. I live Alaska. I met Jeff King and saw Sean Underwood as I was boarding the bus to leave. He startled me with all that curly black hair looking very much he was in his element. What I remembered the most is how I felt about the puppy I held. It is my dream to return and this time perhaps ride in a sled drawn by the dogs. I also want to see the northern lights. I watch the Iditarod last year for first time and this year I was all in checking several times a day. I prayed for you when I heard about the accident. I had a car accident once and split my head open so much so that people were looking at my skull. I was almost 20 years old then. I wanted to say I’m still praying for a full recovery and would like to keep up with you and your kennel as time goes by. God bless. Irene

  • Thank you for parring me with Dutch in the draw. I am humbled and honored to be in such company.
I hope you are recovering comfortably.

Now that you are formally retired, will you continue the dog fan sponsor?

  • Beautiful post.
    Thank you to everyone involved.
Thank you Aliy, Allen, and SPK family for taking us on so many adventures.
