To mark the end of the racing season we have done a double dog fan club draw.

Sparkie-doo-dah and DD are two of the most silly and fun loving dogs at SP Kennel. They bring a smile to everyone whether they are playing at home, romping in the field or running down the trail. They look like they’re having so much fun! Deep deep snow. Ours is gone here in Colorado! Be safe be healthy all. Oh and the card from Two Rivers made it on Friday. Sat in quarantine I the garage till yesterday! Lol
Do your dogs ever fight? When we watchdog mushing videos on you tube or Iditarod Insider some mushers have dogs that fight. Your dogs seem like they get along.
Arguments or fights in dog teams are controlled by the musher and what he or she thinks is acceptable. Some mushers are loud or argumentative people and they don’t mind their dogs being the same way. Allen and I aren’t loud or argumentative. We are generally happy and get along with everyone, so that’s what we expect from our dogs. We spend a lot of time socializing puppies and raise them to get along, we also spay and neuter many of them and lastly the expectation for them to ‘obey us’ is high. So while arguments do happen… not very often.
Congrats to the winners!!! Those are some awesome end of the race season prizes and that sure is a deep spring snow pack! When will break up finally come to Alaska?? At least your days are getting longer!

Looking at that video it is hard to believe it is April….or is it??? Hard to know what day/month it is right now if you know what I mean lol! Thanks for the video…..that was pure canine joy and joy of any kind is so welcome during these challenging days. I, too, got your card and it sat in the garage in quarantine just like Dawn’s! Thank you Aliy for that explanation. We see it all the time in your videos. I remember in Wt Mountain one year how the Joe Runyon commented on how well behaved and patient your dogs were waiting to be fed. And I love to see how much fun they have during group play/runs.
