It’s 10.50am Yukon Time.

As I write, Allen and his team are about 24 miles from the checkpoint at Carmacks.

Here’s a voice update from Aliy

They spent the early hours of the day in McCabe creek. They pulled in just after 1.30am and stayed for around six hours, leaving at 8am.

We’ll bring you more from Carmacks later in the day. Allen and team continue down the trail, Aliy and Bridgett catch up on some sleep and I’m off to work!

  • Between the write-ups, videos and audios, I feel like you are doing an amazing job of keeping us in the loop! Love, love it. Allen’s dogs have looked great every stop we’ve been able to view. And yes, the front two are hopscotching and doing raspberries at each other each time I imagine. Would Michelle be only the 2nd female to win it after our own Aliys win? I’m not sure. Research for when I cant look at the tracker another second.
    Thank you all!

    • Yes. Aliy won it in Yr. 2000 and no other woman since then (Aliy had three years running in 2nd – one by I think 2 minutes…)

  • Thanks for the update….sounds like Allen and the dogs are getting quality rest and hopefully the SPK handlers are doing the same! Love the pictures and now back to watching the tracker!

  • Great update.
I hope the team and handlers all enjoyed a well deserved rest and goodies.
Allen ski-poling with his surgery arm, I hope that means all is fantastic with him.
    His team looks great.
    and
Decaf is Yukon Quest Dog of the Day!
