It’s 8pm Feeling: Recharged now they are in White Mountain!

Aliy and team arrived into White Mountain at 7:47pm. The earliest they can leave is 3:47am. Can I nap now?

We found a White Mountain webcam (thanks Padee) and caught a fleeting glance at the team arriving.

  • Nice catch Chipper’s Paddee.
    🙂
Yes, time for a nap at least.
    Thank you Moira!

  • Nice!! First thought – set alarm for 03:30 to watch Aliy’s tracker turn green @03:47 Then it occurs to me that I might want to watch the winner come in, which barring the unexpected might be just about that same time. I am thinking @03:30 even

    Night all.

  • Thank you for the update.
Go Aliy! You’re almost in Nome! Rest well in White Mountain and run like the wind to Nome!
    Go SPK!

  • I am so proud to be an SPK fan. What a great race. Go Aliy! Go 4-leggeds! Like Mark said above and what we have all repeated over the years – a class act. Thank you SO MUCH, SPK team for sharing all of this with us. I can’t wait until Aliy and the dogs are safely under the burled arch and we can all sit back and breathe a sigh of relief. This was such an exciting year.
Aliy, I hope you feel all of the SPK fans thinking about you and wishing you a happy and safe ending to this race.
    GO SPK!

  • It’s funny how I find myself running to the computer (in the middle of the night here (Alberta) checking to see how you and the team are doing 🙂
I cannot tell you what you (Aliy) and your team have meant to me this past 10 days – the excitement of the race itself was amazing, reading the comments and reports, the great pictures of you and your dogs – It was the first year I actually followed the Ididarod.
I am sending all my best for a continued safe ride on in to Nome to complete the journey. At the finish line I wish you happiness and peace of mind knowing ‘you are one hell of a woman’ and we (all) are so very, very proud of you!
All the best, Aliy and Team … and special hugs to all your wonderful dogs.
