Everyone is home – resting and regrouping after Nome. Aliy and Moira took some of the Iditarod team out for a couple of hours last night on the local trails.

West of us the trails are still pretty good but we’re not sure how much they have left in them. It’s pretty warm here in Two Rivers during the day and it won’t be long before the trails turn to slush so we made the most of it last night.

And don’t feel bad for the rest of the kennel that got left behind last night – most of them went out today with Karolyn and Bridgett.

  • Would love to have been “ballast” on that run!! Please give Five belly scratches from me.

  • Looks like the dogs enjoyed the fun run too! Its so odd the warmth Alaska is getting lately…hope the trails last a little longer for you! Love the pictures….especially where the trail goes through the birches!

  • I enjoyed the videos and pictures! It looks like the dogs had a blast on the run!
Winter weather is ending and summer will be here soon. That is kind of disappointing; I love the snow and freezing temperatures and I know the SPK dogs do too!

  • Always wonderful to see mushing by SP Kennel competitors – even in, pardon the pun, Spring mush.

What a racing season this was – these athletes deserve their time in the sun, lazy days and play – WOOF!!!

And thanks again for the video glimpes into their world, the most delightful thing to see each morning!

    One more WOOF!!!

  • It’s been forever since I was behind a team – but this is a great video to compensate, very nice to see them so happy.
