Website Facelift on October 1st!

The SP Kennel Mushing Season begins on October 1st. The dogs have been training, the mushers are getting fit and our Red and Black teams have signed up for races. What this all means is that our fans now need to get involved! But the SP Kennel website needs a facelift first. So on September 30 it will be out of commission – don’t log on until the next morning – and when you do, everyone will get the chance to see some new photos, blurbs and memberships.

“Join the Team” – both Red and Black will then be available. We have new team mementos including a very snazzy SP Kennel Red Team 2018 Ball Cap.

Our most popular program, the Dog Fan Club, will also open October 1st as well. Browse through the brand new Fan Photos and choose your special dog or two. Sign up, via the instructions, and your name will be published on our new site under the photo of “your” dog. Regularly throughout the season, we will have a random drawing from all of the Dog Fans. The winning dog will get some extra treats – courtesy of the SP Kennel Dog Fan Biscuit Bucket. The winning Fan will receive a “glam shot” of their dog plus an SP Kennel prize.

The “Dogs” page is being reworked now. All dogs who have retired from SP Kennel and moved to new homes have been taken off the page. We were repeatedly asked to list who are siblings, so these are now included on each individual Dog Page, as well as Race History and a new blurb. Dog Fan Photos from this summer have been posted beside the Portraits from last season. Our Portrait photographer comes to the kennel on October 8th. These new Portraits will be on the website in the middle of October. What does Razz look like now? Is Prata any bigger? Has Nomex head shrunk? All these questions will have to wait.
