Our 2019-20 season is ** OPEN **
We’re excited to get things started!
Today we are opening two of our support programmes. We want to thank you in anticipation for your support this coming season. We know your support dollars could go to many places, so we thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts, for choosing us. ❤️
We have three different ways you can support us this season. You can join the Red Team, the Black Team or the Dog Fan Club! Please note the tabs at the top of the page that you can click at any time during the season.
Red Team and Black Team membership is open TODAY.
After you join, Team Members will find their name under the Team tab (at the top of the page).
You will receive, in the mail, this season’s unique membership Certificates featuring a photo for Black Team by the Seth Adams from Allen’s Yukon Quest 2019 Eagle Summit climb. The unique membership Certificate for Red Team Members features a photo by Julien Schroder as Aliy summits the final hill on the Iditarod, Cape Nome. Both fantastic shots! Thanks to Seth and Julien for allowing us to use these images. We know that the 2019-2020 Team Members will appreciate the magnificence of these images.
As a Red Team member you’ll receive a 15″ x 18″ ‘Adventure Awaits’ Tote Bag as a thank you for joining – featuring another fantastic pic from Julien as the team headed towards Nome. You will get an email .pdf copy of Aliy’s 2019 Iditarod Trail Notes. They are a long read! If you are a dedicated Red Team fan you’ll enjoy 40 pages of Aliy’s stories – ups and downs – from this year’s Iditarod 4th place finish.
Black Team members will be sent a 8.25″ x 5.5″ SP Kennel multi-purpose zippered pouch featuring a quote about what we believe is the definition of a dog team. Use it to carry your device chargers, as a cosmetics bag, a pencil case or your snacks for the road. We’ll pop some other Black Team surprise goodies inside for you to enjoy.
You can upgrade your membership of either team to include the iconic red beanie.
All our Red Team and Black Team members that join before March 1st will also be sent a collectors postcard from Nome with the official ‘End of Iditarod Trail’ postmark – although don’t expect that before summer (see story here).

The Dog Fan Club will open October 15th. You will be able become a fan of your favourite dog, or dogs, and your name will feature on their individual athlete page. You also go in the draw to win great prizes throughout the season. We’ll let you know once it is open.
Note: We are in the very fortunate position that our dog sponsorship program is full and every dog has an individual sponsor. Many of our dog sponsors have been with us for the duration of their dog’s career and some before that! Thank you to all our dog sponsors. We do appreciate you and consider you part of the SPK family!
