While Aliy and Allen were in Anchorage last week they were able to book their rooms for Iditarod with Comfort Inn Ship Creek. This dog friendly (and people friendly) hotel is excited about partnering with SP Kennel for the busy race week.
SP Kennel handling crew will have the dogs’ feeding and exercise schedule posted at the hotel front desk so that fans can see the dogs and watch the SP Crew care for the best Sled Dogs in the world! The SPK dog trucks will get prime parking spots and the dogs will have plenty of space to to stretch their legs after the long drive from Two Rivers on Thursday. The entire crew will stay at the hotel until the Race Start in Willow on Sunday.
We had mentioned that Comfort Inn Ship Creek is supporting a “Friend’s Rate” for family, friends and fans of SP Kennel during the Iditarod Week. There in a link to this rate on this Comfort Inn badge. Please Join Us!
I got fond memories of staying there in 2015….for any fans going to Iditarod this IS the place to stay for SPK Fans…bring your camera…the dogs are very photogenic!
The outreach done with the schools is really cool. Good for SPK for spending time and energy trying to reach out to kids, providing real life examples of ‘strong and smart’ and being ambassadors for the sport.
Not to change the subject, but the Quest is really coming up fast – 45 days! ARGH!
Happy Solstice tomorrow, everyone! 🙂
WOOF WOOF WOOF
Yes indeed, as was pointed out above, the Yukon Quest comes along soon. The website does not appear to list racing plans for the season, but here’s what I found online:
