Our first race for the 2017-18 season is fast approaching!
This weekend we have three teams entered into the Two Rivers Dog Mushers Association Solstice 50.
Both Aliy and Allen are running a team, along with Jeff – our new handler (who we will introduce you to properly in a SPK Crew post in the next week or two!)
We always love this race; on local trails with our neighbours and friends. It kicks off at 11am from the Pleasant Valley Store and the route will loop around familiar trails to finish back at the store. It is so convenient for us with just a very short truck ride to the start – which is great for any newbies that haven’t had a truck ride before!
The teams will be a mixture of youngsters and racers. Some key dogs are sitting out this first one due to the assumed fast and hilly terrain. We will publish the team rosters Saturday morning.
There will be no GPS trackers to follow so keep an eye on the TRDMA website and Facebook page for results.
Go teams!
Have an awesome time. Best to Aliy, Allen, Jeff, and all the four legged team members that get to take part. Nothing like a little race to inspire the introduction of a new handler! LOL!
Check your mail before you leave Pleasant Valley. My tracking says one package to Two Rivers should be delivered on Saturday Dec. 23rd. Enjoy!
