There was another tremendous turn-out in Whitehorse last evening as hundreds and hundreds of fans, supporters, sponsors and family queued to get signatures, selfies and handshakes with their favorite mushers.
It was the first time many of the mushers had seen each other so there was time for them to catch up with each other and share stories of the trail.
It was appropriate that the Verizon promotional signature cards that Allen was signing featured a picture of Scout, seems Scout was the MVD of this race!
It was a fun evening! Thanks to the sponsors: Inukshuk Dog Food.
Thanks ever so much for these snaps!!!
Te cakes are lovely, too – how about "Baked Alaska" for dessert this year considering the weather?
Way to go, bro! MVD
In a way, I am glad that you are trying out the teams, mixing up the dogs, working on the perfect pairings. I am getting to know so much more about the individual dogs. Your stories about them make me smile. I can't help but smile when I think of Scout as the Fun Police in that very funny video some weeks ago and now as MVD. Thanks.
It's SO cool the Yukon Quest is getting so much interest!! I love this race and to me it's like the First Part of the Sled Dog Racing "Super Bowl"….don't get me wrong….I love the Iditarod….but the more I learn about this Yukon Quest Race the more I appreciate it! Glad to hear the YQ Fan events are well attended…..wish I was there to shake hands and show my appreciation in person!
Future & present … Allen's one of the all-time best of everything to do with mushing…
Yes, the YQ is getting a lot more publicity & fan interest. Great picture of Allen & Matt. Sounded like a fun evening.
Aw, what i would give to be able to be there!!! And hurrah for Scout; he is one VSD for sure!!
