November sunrise over the SP Kennel dog yard.
It came to my attention today that the daylight in Two Rivers is quite limited these days. Sunrise this morning was at 9:36 AM and sunset will be at 3:34 PM. So, we will have the possibility of 6 hours and 4 minutes of daylight. This is super considering today we will have 6 minutes and 25 seconds more daylight than tomorrow.
Yippee!
Mid November makes me look at the sky and think back to mid June when we had all daylight hours. Of course, I am the kind of person who looks ahead as well… and December 21st is really just around the corner. On the shortest day of the year, the sun will rise just before 11 AM and it will set about 3 1/2 hours later.
Good thing dogs can see well in the dark!
Where the heck’s the trail, Commando?!
That picture is stunning! Thank you.
What a beautiful view from your home. You and Allen are truly blessed in so many ways!!

What a wonderful pic!
And I forgot to mention what was most obvious…what a gorgeous moment captured for all of us to see!!! Nice snow like sugar atop the little houses of each of your fantastic four legged athletes!!! And the trees are picture-perfect with their white toppings, too!
Thanks for snapping this perfect shot. Wow!

Commando?! "Way to go, Commando!" is emerging as a leader. That's cool. Good for him! Really interesting to watch the young ones step up.
Wow…losing nearly 6 and a half minutes A DAY…..here in the Adirondacks it's only a little over 2 minutes loss of daylight per day!! I am always in awe with the difference in light and dark folks in Alaska live by! Solstice's and Equinox's must be extra special up your way! Glad to know you have 51 trusty sled dogs to get you home safely in the dark! Enjoy the short days and long nights…. and always carry extra batteries for your headlamp!
Lovely shot! I would have a little struggle with so much dark but it really is beautiful. And since the dogs love it.what's not to love, really? Thanks for the share!
We like the 2016 Iditarod logo. Looking forward to the racing season. Go SP Kennel!!!!!!!
Awesome sunrise shot!
It looks like prime time for training at SPK.
I hope it doesn't get too cool to have fun out there.
I think it is time for a good howl!
Peaceful bliss…… beautiful view!!!! …..best of everything, in both the training, and the many races. Go Teams!!!!
Beautiful!
Great picture, & I found Tinder and Coal playing back in the upper left corner. (ha, ha)
