Here is an introductory video of the “Coffee Litter”. Aliy paced around nearly the entire day of September 23rd, always with a cup of coffee in hand. So… why not? The Coffee Litter.

First Born: “Barista”
Little Runt: “Coffee Bean” or Bean
Big Dark Girl: “Sanka”
Light Colored Girl: “Creamer” in honor of her Uncle Beemer
Mellow Boy: “Decaf”
Hyper Boy: “Percolate” or Perky

For any of you following the “In House” Olivia Pool, no one picked the correct date. We dropped all the SP Kennel Crew names in a bowl and picked a winner. Mark “the Chauffeur” won! He choose the name “Barista” for the first born.

  • I have been waiting to see what "theme" you all would use for naming the puppies. Love it and they all are absolutely beautiful. Of course, Mama Olivia is looking marvelous. Thanks for the video and I will think of them every morning with my cup of coffee! 🐶 ☕️

  • What cute little butterball puppies!!! It's amazing to see them fit into someone's hand right now, but not for long. Olivia looks so relaxed at being a Mom, nursing with her head hanging out the door to keep an eye on things. Love the names too. Thanks for sharing.

  • They are adorable!!! Momma Olivia is taking great care of her pups! The coffee themed names are awesome….being a home roaster I love my coffee AND this Coffee Litter!

  • Had to laugh at Olivia's head hanging outside the door upside down. All the pups are beyond adorable and Olivia is doing her job and getting them properly fattened up. Such a sweet video and great litter theme. Can't wait until they are charging down the trail as yearlings for 2016/17 season.

  • Being a total caffeinaholic I Love the names! What a precious and healthy looking bunch of adorable babies. Love Olivia's casual and laid back attitude–and I am sure her calm air is very good for the little ones. They will be socialized in no time which is so very important for future sled dogs who will be ambassadors and the focus of attention for their whole lives. Thanks soooo much for sharing. Yep, I am envious but not really in a position to deal with a litter. Our pet dogs are all fixed which is really best if you do not intend to breed them. Still, puppy breath is so awesome! And missed–so this is special.

  • Hahaha, now you've done it! In a couple of years we will see Headlines such as "Coffee Saves The Day", "A New Spirit Percolates Through The Team", "Decaf Could Not Temper The Excitement", etc. etc.
    The press will have a field day. Good job guys, I can't wait to start reading;-) May you and the pups have a blessed season!
