Stunning view of the mountain! Looks like everyone was enjoying themselves, too~
I LOVE this! Thanks for posting! I miss running dogs and the sound of the runners on the snow…
Stunning. Thanks for the ride!
Honestly, I can't imagine life being any better than that. Maybe "as good as" but not "better than."
it was a lovely day, wasn't it?
Thank you Aliy for sharing this beautiful scenery with us. The dogs look so happy to be there🐾 I can't get over how happy Shmoe looked to be running in the race! I always thought he was so serious, but he was having a blast😁 How are you healing along??
THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Wow, so beautiful, and absolutely no indication of the "adventure" that awaits.
Awesome isn't a good enough word – breathtaking Denali – thanks so very much!!!
Red Team's will be video unlike the tone of Sportsman Channel – more about Alaska itself, and the colors and shadows the sun makes across the land, perhaps.
Always grateful for these special views.
Beautiful! Tried to look at Denali, but just kept thinking: that's a whole ton of power right there in front of that sled!
FYI–
On e-bay – Yukon Quest 2000 patch (Aliy won it that year) for sale (they had 8 of them)- I just purchased one at a "buy it now price."
Thank you so much for sharing this. I could hear the wind and almost FEEL the power of Aliy's team mates as they pulled the sled. And Denali…how spectacular is that!
I have a question. Can anyone answer how far away Denali was in that video? I ask because 2 years ago, I got a phenomenal photo of the mountain (no clouds!) and was told I was about 40 or 50 miles away. I couldn't imagine that kind of vastness. So, I am just curious about the vastness Aily experienced in the video.
Thanks if you can answer, and thank you so much for sharing what so many of us would have loved to see!
"In the beginning"….Day 1! Who knew what a wild ride was awaiting the Team ahead! Denali is beautiful in the distance…thanks for the view!
What a beautiful shot of Denali. The team are really enjoying themselves. Thanks so much for the "Aliy cam".
Beautiful ride!!! Gotta love it!!! Heal fast!. From Delaware…
When we went to Alaska, we were blessed to have been able to have a clear view of Denali (from the train). In the park, the top was covered w/ clouds. How nice that you had a nice view.
Thank you for sharing your experience through the Aliy Cam. I love watching the dogs run. They always look so happy to be running.
JudyGee, I'd estimate Denali to be about 100 miles from Aliy at that point.
