Nicely done video! Very professional and calm dogs as they are dressed for the next phase of the race. Ready to run down the trail when the time to go hit the mark. SPK – All of you ROCK! (Four legged and two legged.)
Padee said… Wow! Moira you did a great job with this video, sometimes the music distracts but you nailed it and we still got to hear the pups cheer at leaving! Nice, nice NICE! thanks to all of our team members and doggies. Safe journeys; Hike! padee Santa Rosa Ca
Thank you so much for sharing. I feel like I am right there with you all. But warm 🙂
Go Black Team!
Awesome montage Moira!
Thank you so much for the videos, updates, and the "basics" of the Yukon Quest. I followed Aliy and Allen from the Iditarod and knew next to nothing about this race. I am totally fascinated, and in awe of all that these teams do.
Good luck!
I am wearing my black SPK windbreaker. Go Allen! Go Dawgs!
P.S. Thanks for the video Moira. It was very nicely done.
I love that when the team gets excited , my crazy bulldog starts running around the house looking for her "friends" that are making noise!?!?!? Silly Girl! Just watch my iPad with me…. 🙂 Thank you for all the wonderful updates! Go Allen! And then it'll be GO Aliy!!!!! 🙂 Just Love You Guys!!!!
Love it, Love it, LOVE IT! Wonderful, uplifting montage.
Awesome job Moira!! LOVED IT! Sleepy dogs gently awakened, paws slipped into booties one by one, harnesses on and all of a sudden sleepy pups are alert and the transformed into a happy powerful sled dog team! You captured it perfectly!
Terrific Moira – loved it! Great job to all at the SP Kennel Dawson dog camp, you've done a great job with the dogs, they look ready to rock the trail to Whitehorse. Go Black Team!
Go, Allen! Thank You for this fantastic race.
WOKE UP THIS MORNING TO THIS – WOW
Looked like a "Rocky" movie~you guys rock!!!
Thanks so much for this edit job – people don't always realize how much goes into each individual title you insert – mucho impressed.
Olivia has her game face on, and her bootie4s were made for walkin' as the song goes – in this case, racing!!! Music worked in this "get ready get set go" video! JMO

This is such a moving, uplifting video of the athletes and the crew! Beautiful music and montage! I do not cry a lot but, I have tears in my eyes right now! God bless you all! Safe travels to all!
THANK YOU SO MUCH for the video. Truly appreciate all the info you provide for those of us that can't be there. Safe travels for the rest of the race Allen. MUSH ON!!!!
Great job Moira!!! Awesome montage you did a wonderful job. Loved the music too! The dogs and Allen look rested and ready to go. Best wishes to all for a safe journey to through the next leg of the Yukon Quest adventure.
Cheers
P.S. Moira can you share the artist of the music you had for the montage.
We just can't state enough what an awesome team SPKennels is. Your detailed updates, videos, teamwork, analyses are just unbelievable! Thanks!
A question (and perhaps future topic for Mac?)is how do I look at a musher's rest/run throughout the race? On the individual trackers the speed vs time shows up as blank for me. I remember lsat year (or maybe it was that OTHER race) where you could see the whole time course and overlay 2 mushers speed vs time which was interesting. I'm particularly interested as Allen, Brent and Hugh appear closer together now, but I have not idea who has rested for any length of time between check points.
Thanks, Monica
I love this video!! Thank you so much, those athletes are so fortunate to be at SP Kennel because of all of you! Interesting decision by Allen to bring the "Big O " up to replace Scruggs after such a magnificent job getting to Dawson. Quito is truely a rock star! I love that girl! It sure would be wonderfull if Allen can beat Brent and Hugh and be in the winners circle two years in a row. God knows them athletes deserve it!
Just an unprofessional note from fellow fan: re: run-rest info…
Go to LEADERBOARD; click on name of musher; go down the list of stats to "moving time" and "stopping time" – this show the differences.
–Margaret P.S. You do the arithmatic!
Wow awesome, awesome, awesome! Dittos. To all above comments. Thank you so very much, Moira. SP K is the absolute best-dogs, mushers, crew, handler's, support. Go Allen & Black team.
FANTASTIC video! Go Allen….go team!
Awesome video! I love all the dogs happy faces–ya sure can tell they are truly loved! I'm getting kind of neurotic checking the tracker—may need a vacation after the race to chill a little! GO ALLEN!! We want HUSBAND/WIFE CHAMPs for2014!!
Great video! And such happy dogs. Go Allen & SP Kennels!
Question for Magellan: do you know how the mushers pass through the US-Canadien border, do they need passports, have the mushers already been cleared before the race starts, have there ever been any issues at the first checkpoint after the border? I realize that there are no formal border crossings on this race.
Thanks for the info.

Oscar quality documentary
Ok, not very masculine to admit, but I choked up watching BEEMER get harnessed. Such an amazing transformation from getting picked up at a dog drop in his first 700 mile yearling Iditarod run to this confident level of pre-run composure. I am SO proud of him!
Fantastic, thank you,
Go Allen Go !!1!1!!!!
