Today, the SPK Dog Log passed a major internet milestone: A Million Page Views!
Thanks to all our faithful fans and other visitors who have pushed us past this milestone!
We will continue working hard to keep the SPK Dog Log as educational and entertaining as we can for your next million page views… and beyond!
Im proud to be part of that Internet blogging traffic! Congrats SP Kennel…..we luv ya!
What brought me to the website was a link on the Iditarod musher page about 4-5 years back.
What made me become a fan was the fact that you (Mac), Aliy, and Kaz explained the whole sport of mushing…from the positions on a sled team, the commands given to the dogs, the training, and of course the race.
What made me tell others about your website was not only the educational aspect but the ongoing awesome videos. My all time favorite is the Happy River Steps ala "The Aliy Cam". I still watch this every season.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this website. You have all made The SP Kennel Dog Log very special.
How great is that! Well done.
With racing season just around the corner, those numbers should continue to soar as Aliy and Allen keep leading the pack. Way to go!
Not hard to believe, I've probably watched the puppy video 100 times already. Congratulations!
I will second what Nessmuk said! Couldn't be said better!
Yes! I keep coming back to THIS BLOG in particular because of how well they treat their fans! I have loved learning on the sliders with Aliy and in the shop with Allen. I am an aspiring musher myself and thoroughly appreciate the insight this blog has given me into a future mushing career. Congrats to SP Kennel on their huge accomplishment. You are well deserving of such a thankful fan base!
1,000,000+ and counting! It's a result of your having a great Kennel and a great website filled with great information. It's fun to be a virtual part of your Kennel!
Ditto to all the above comments! A big TY to all the contributors! From Kennel Mom to, Mac, Aliy, Moira and…all crews thru the yrs. love it ALL. the fire blogs helped me not worry so much about the furry WOOF Woof family too!
You all are well loved!
THANK YOU for being a BIG part of living my dreams!

Yee haw! This is sweet!
Congrats on your first million! Bet you'll hit your second million in record time. Clearly you love the dogs, mushing, & the Alaskan lifestyle & I love the way you share this & teach us Outsiders about all of it! Thanks to all who have contributed to this blog & helped take this blog to the 1 million mark! Great job, SPK!
I love your dog log! I just tuned in during the last Iditarod season when I watched the race via net. It is because of all the educational material & lovely pictures of scenery & dogs & all that is Alaska, not to mention Aliy's & Allen's charm …that keeps me coming back. I've loved seeing the new pups & can hardly wait for the next installment. I've learned so much. Congrats guys for a job very well done!!
This is the BEST dog log ever! I am sure of it 🙂 One of the things I do with my SPED students is connect the musher they follow during the Iditarod to their websites. I've looked at quite a few–and this is the most informative, interactive and friendly. I love the updates, stories and being to connected to your awesome life in Alaska. One day, I'd like to go there and volunteer somehow. It's on the bucket list 🙂 THANKS for taking the time to share with us–through the good times, race times, and the bad–like through the fire recently.
You all at SP Kennel are so special that, it's just natural that people are in awe of you and the beautiful dogs!!! I'm very proud to be your fan!!! Congratulations! 🙂
I love the dog log and the amazing videos. Aside from the videos of Aliy with the individual dogs in front of the Skunk's Place sign (I love all of them!) one of my favorites has to be the Doggie Duet featuring Manny and Moonpie!
The video that would have been my favorite had it been taken was Mac's greeting Happy at the finish line in NOME!!!
As a previous post indicated – it is a privilege to be allowed to post here!
Woof, woof, woof!!!
Congratulations! That is some excitingly fantastic news! We enjoy reading all your posts and hearing update on the dogs.
