The canine and handler team travelled to Anchorage today. It was a beautiful day for a drive!
Take a listen to the impromptu howl when we dropped the dogs for a rest stop at mile 202…

Good luck to SP Kennels. Be safe, run fast, have fun!
LOL note to self " dont listen to this up loud" my lot are howling their butts off now lol cool for me but not the neighbours
The dogs look fantastic!… Nice and fat!… Just the way they should look going into Iditarod… I can't wait!
Look at all those wagging tails! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Those pups are happy, and oh so fired up for the race! Have fun and be safe!!!
The best part, besides the wagging tail, is that we get a glimpse at what pups may start this weekend. Can't wait to see them all take off in Willow.
We're sitting here in our classroom watching this the day before the race starts in Anchorage. Some of us have chosen Aliy and Allen to follow this year. Thanks for all the video! We're next going to watch the video about inside your sled bag. Good luck! We're hoping for first and second place for you!
Hoss is sitting here with me listening to his former buddies…the look on his face is "Ah..been there..done that." To the champions at SP Kennel have a great race.
Why 6 sleds?
@Anonymous re. 6 sleds: Two for each team to start the ceremonial run, plus two spares (which may be sent out on the trail in case of emergency)
