One of my absolute favorite villages on the Iditarod is the tiny Eskimo village of Shaktoolik out on the Western Coast of Alaska. The people out there have a life different from much of the mainstream world – and they are proud of it! The dogs and I will be in Shaktoolik in just over two months.
I hope you enjoy this video as much as I did.
Sweet!… Thanks for sharing…
Good old-fashioned kid fun… No phones, iPods, texts, tweets or status updates…
Just creativity, energy, enthusiasm and joy…
Happy winter solstice to everyone!
How wonderful they are. An expression of youth, hopefulness and fun. Those of us who live 15 miles or so from Sandy Hook Elementary School(Newtown,CT)can use this right now.
Thank you so much.

I've been in Shaktoolik. Interesting place. Glad to see they have wind energy. This is a great solution for them.
Great fun. Thanks for sharing!
