Kennel friend and fantastic photographer, Jeanne Schnackenberg, came to the kennel recently to take “studio portraits” of all the dogs. This is one of many steps we are currently lining up to bring you a brand new updated website later this month.
Needless to say, the pictures are awesome. Here are just a few samples.
Awww! The photos are wonderful and each of the dogs looks so adorable! Can't wait to see ALL of them! 🙂
Just plain precious!
Awesome, Jeanne. I would love to have photos that good of my dogs. Meg, Li'l Deb, and Scooter? I usually misidentify from photos, but there it is.
Great Job Jeanne! Can't wait to see them all. Yo-Lynn
wow! These photos are cool! A new updated website…
The more I see of the dogs, stars of SP Kennel, the happier I get (not a reference to Hapeeee!!!)! This is THEIR WEBSITE – WOOF!!! As it should be – they are sooooo precious.
And thanks again to new and terrific portraits, the slideshow of favorite pictures past, and especially to talented web designer Macgellan for this joint labor of love with SP-two legged folk!
Mac love the new look on the website.
seems like some of the dogs from this spring are missing. Where's Happy?

Hi Ann –
There has indeed been a routine "changing of the guard" here at SP Kennel… A few dogs have retired, and a few others have been placed in other excellent kennels… Just like every year, though maybe a few more this year than before… It's hard for Aliy to let go of dogs, but with all the fantastic young talent coming up the ranks, it's her responsibility to do what's right for the older and/or "not quite as talented" dogs…
Where's Happy?… She thanks you for asking!… At this very moment, she is curled up at my feet… Seemingly quite comfortable with the prospect of maybe becoming a pet dog some day… Maybe even soon!
Awwww!
That makes me HAPPY! Thanks for letting us know.
I cannot imagine how hard it is for Aliy to let go of any of the dogs. I know she always puts the dogs interest first. That's why we love you all so much. Dogs first.
Give Happy a nuzzle for me

Yes, there are a lot of missing dogs on the list. But the website looks great! I hope there will be a blog post telling who went where. Mac, you should post a pic of Happy's attempts at negotiating 'pet dog' status.
