SP Kennel has been a buzz since returing from the North Slope. Even though, Aliy and Allen seem to be winding down from the long season; Ryne, Wes and Wendy still have “mushing on their minds”.
Ryne and a good friend are headed for an overnight camping trip with several dog teams this weekend. Then Wes and Wendy are headed north on a mushing adventure with some good friends of SP Kennel. It seems that no one wants to hang up the harnesses yet.
Mismo is 8 months old are ready to rumble!
It’s April 7th and we are still dog mushing….
I'm glad the snow is still good. We had a brown winter here in WI and it was quite depressing.
Cheers!
A question about Mismo, Quito and
Biscuit:
Not necessarily to be posted; is not Zorro the father of both Quito
and Biscuit – is this "inbreeding"
if it is, in dogs not a bad thing?
Just wondering! Please excuse my
gnorance of these matters.
This is a line breeding of Zorro. Yes, it is "close".
The dams of the two parents are completely unrelalted however. Biscuit is out of a heavy boned dam, Lillith, with sprint racing lines – going back to Kathy Frost's Riker. Quito is out of a half sister to ChaCha, a Yuski pup. We are repeating the breeding again this summer.
