Super coverage of the Copper Basin race. Thanks for keeping us so well informed! Congratulations to Aliy, Allen, and Bridgett on a super race. Lots of problems to overcome but you made it and the dogs looked great in the video. Go SP Kennel. On to Yukon Quest!
Little handler worked very hard on the race. He wanted to "help" with everything.
Congratulations on finishing well despite unforeseen obstacles. And if I'm not mistaken, Aliy finished higher than she did last year. A top 10 finish…fantastic!
Kaz, YOU DID A GREAT JOB on the website! Your insights, your photos, and your videos made the race very enjoyable. I couldn't get enough of your videos, and watched them repeatedly. I know there was a lot of work involved in putting together each video. Thank you for staying up late and getting up early so that we could see the SPKennel teams.
I look forward to hearing the stories about the race.
Again, well done SPKennel!
Fantastic videos and photos! Thank you! Great job dogs and everyone.
Absolutely fantastic coverage of the race! some disappointments for all three mushers, I am sure, but you all handled them with such class…You should all three be very proud of the examples you set!
Congrats to all 3 SPK teams! The dogs look terrific and I just love to see the big smile that Aliy always has when she finishes a race.
Between the already mentioned little handler in the green jacket and Bridgett's little handler Jacob, pictured below, it looks like the CB300 was a true family affair.
Does this mean that you all finally had a chance to try out the little sled Allen built?
Start them young so that we fans can be guaranteed to have SPK mushers to follow for years and years and years to come.
Thanks again to all who helped keep the Dog Log updated with info during the race.
Great race- thanks to your blog and Helen and Theresa at race headquaters on Facebook I could follow it pretty well all the way here in KS
Like that little handler in the green jacket!
