We’ve just finished the Mushers’ Banquet where Allen drew starting bib #54 and Aliy drew #50. Although they would have preferred to draw lower/earlier numbers — and maybe a little more spread out to give the handlers a bit more time in between — starting position isn’t really all that important in a long race like Iditarod. So, the teams have their numbers and you’re up to date! Stay tuned!

We are so excited about the start numbers! We are use to getting ready all at the same time during training, so we have lots of practice. Plus we have so much wonderful help!!!! The best thing is we will be starting later in the afterenoon and will miss some of the heat! Yeah:)

Good Luck!!!
I am so anxious to get this race started! It has been such a joy following the fantastic dogs and people at SP Kennel.
I'll be following 50 & 54 closely!
BTW: Please tell T. Rose (#26) that I'll be following her as well and I wish her a wonderful race.
