It’s been a busy week of news in the mushing world.
First we learned that the Sheep Mountain 150 race has been cancelled due to lack of snow and dangerous trail conditions. We are in the process of adjusting to the significant impact this has had on our training and racing schedule, and we will fill you in as soon as we know what’s what.
In addition, we have received two media links that we want to pass along to you in the interest of your being well informed and up to date on news from our world.
SP Kennel has no comment on either of these stories at this time.

Stay tuned!
Terrible about the loss in funding, especially for the mushers.
I am not worried about testing the dogs, Aliy, or Allen, but if they start testing Macgellan for premium scotch, we could be in trouble. He needs something to keep him warm when he is holding that camera in the snow.
Nice!… Though I'll tell you, with the cold and dryness of interior Alaska my "drams" have been few and far between… Nevertheless, I do find a way to have just a nip from time to time… But never while I'm working! Things move too fast and furiously around here… Thanks for your concern!
That is a terrible loss in funding. I hope we as fans can help make up a bit of that. Has Discovery signed up for coverage this coming year?
On a side note, at the bottom of the pdf flier, it talks about the 2010 race, but says it starts on March 6th, 2009. Time machine anyone? 😉
