I got a call from Aliy a little while ago, telling me that both teams had completed their short ride through Anchorage in fine shape, dropped off their Iditariders, loaded up the dogs and made it to Wasilla with no problems. They’ve all — canine and human — had dinner and are settling in for an early, quiet night before the “Official” Start tomorrow in nearby Willow. The handlers are “on duty” with the dogs, of course, and the mushers are doing their final sled packing. Bridgett has just sent this photo and audio post from her iPhone for you, and that will wrap up a pretty full day for all of us!

Good Luck to your team! We are enjoying reading your blog, Macgellan. Keep up the informative posts. From your Fla. friends, Gail & John.
