Chipper and Viper led the team over the line followed by Biscuit and Felix, Beemer and Kodiak, Junior and Chemo, Lester and Commando, Pepe and Boondocks with Sandy and Dutch in wheel.

We are so proud of them all!

Everyone has been fed, watered and tucked into bed, including Allen. More soon!

  • Welcome Home Allen and Black Team Puppies! Can't wait to hear your trail stories!!! Well Done!

  • Great pics! I woke up in time to watch it live and it was so much fun watching the dogs and Allen come down the chute. Can't wait to see your video. The live finish cameras are limited to what one can see. Thank you so much for keeping us involved and informed. The SPKennel crew does a fantastic job!

  • Congratulations Allen and Team puppy!! They are puppies no more! All veterans now. Way to go SPKennel and crew. What an awesome team!!

  • Love the pic of Chipper, Alan and Aliy. Congratulations to both teams for a great race, I have enjoyed following you to the finish.

  • Lovely picture of Red Team leader greeting Black Team leader. Also, spectacular positioning to get that head on shot of the Black Team!!!

Tucking Chipper snugly in the best position to look THE FUTURE LEADER of the Red Team like her Mom, Quito – awesome!

Beautiful pix and along with the one "under the arch" with Allen and Viper, should give Chipper some ideas for her doggie dreaming!!!

  • Well done Allen!! I laughed when I saw Aliy carrying Chipper around at the end of the race…31 pounds of awesomeness!!

Glad to see you in Nome Chemo!! Your Sponsor Moms are darn proud of you!!

  • Welcome home, Allen and team mates! I'm sorry I missed y'all come in, and it seems that there's no Insider video to celebrate the moment either. I'm excited tthat SP Kennel will post a video when they can.

It was another race well run..and further training for the SP Kennel "youngsters."

  • Woo Hoo Allen and the Black Team!!! I am sure you are all glad to be home. Awesome picture of the team coming in!Way to go Chipper!!! I bet all the dogs will have great stories to tell their kennel mates. I wonder if their stories get grander the more they tell them like human fishing stories do, hmm…….

Glad everyone is off the trail and happy,

    Heidi

  • Woohoo! Great job Allen and dogs! It's been such fun watching the race, I think I'm going to suffer withdraw. I'm always proud to be an SPK fan. Aliy, Allen, the dogs and the rest of the crew are the BEST. The DogLog posts have been fantastic – thanks very much for the effort on them. Thrilled to see Allen to Nome with such happy dogs. Belly rubs for Chipper!

  • Welcome to Nome Black Team. We've been following you all the way via the" Insider". Great to see you all safe and happy. Congratulations to Allen and Aliy and all the Skunk's Place crew for a successful 2015 Iditarod.

  • Well Chipper did grow into those ears after all! Thanks and many congratulations. I was up right along with ya all. So happy and proud of how SP Kennel races and cares for their teams, doggies and fans! THANKS so much.
Padee Santa Rosa Ca- and happy to be a Chipper sponsor

  • Congratulations Black Team on running a great race. Wow, those youngsters are fast. I can hardly wait until next year.

    Val

  • Thanks for the great photos at the finish! I missed real time and had to rewind on the Insider and unfortunately there was no camera to show the up close and personal pics!

Great Job Allen and Black Team pups, glad to see you back in Nome, can't wait to hear your trail stories and how well the team did. It was a very cold race with nail biting on my end for all mushers and dogs.

    Best, Trish McAleer

  • Welcome home! Super job. Scout's brother, Viper, and Quito's (&Biscuit's) daughter, Chipper, leading the way. That says a lot. Makes total sense!

I didn't know gorgeous future SP Hall of Famer, Biscuit, could run lead. Loved that nugget. Thanks!

    Enjoy some rest, everyone.

  • Yay! Welcome home team! Great job Chipper! Get some rest 4-leggeds and Allen. Momma Aliy and the team are watching over you now.

  • Outstanding! Great race from Aliy, Allen and all the dogs. Thank you SP Kennels for your great race coverage!

  • What a sense of accomplishment!!!

    Ditto to Dawn from Maine!!!

We got another 6 inches of snow last night in honour of the Equinox back here in CT!

  • Yay!!!! Congrats Black team! So cool to see little Chippie leading – what a tough little cookie! So proud of the puppies and the veterans showing them the ropes!

  • Well done to Allen and the Black team especially all the first timers great doggies 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 . A big woof woof from Denali and Joanne from Melbourne Australia a special woof to Chipper …running with the big dogs now 😊

  • I freely admit that if I were a dog on an SPK team, I'd be one of the ones to leave the party before midnight .. but somehow I managed to stay up to watch the Black team come in.

I appreciate the opportunity the Iditarod Insider gave me to see both SPK teams arrive live.

One thing that struck me is that they did not look tired as they ran under the arches, but for a young team, they showed remarkably good manners and discipline as they waited to be taken to the dog lot.

  • Congratulations Allen and team.
loved watching all videos on both teams.
Watched Aliy infront of the arch taking pictures, was waving to her from live feed.

  • What a good looking team. Happy for them and Allen on a very successful race. The future for SPK looks fantastic.
    Ann and Tom

  • Yes congratulations. Allen and black team. How wonderful to see Chipper leading the team under the arch. The future of SPK looks bright indeed. Great pictures. Love the one of Allen, Aliy, & Chipper. Thanks so much.
