Allen took a GoPro with him on the Quest in the hopes of capturing a different perspective of the race. Temperatures in the early stages of the race prevented him from using it much but he did manage to get some footage and the team ran up King Solomon’s Dome, the highest point on the Yukon Quest.

Enjoy!

Thanks to the team at Verizon for supplying us with GoPros!

  • Awesome! Allen's first video, right? Good job, Allen. Loved the view. Loved the video. Thank you.

  • Wow! Wish I were on those runners behind such an amazing team (no matter that I have never been on them in the first place).

Go Black Team!!! I am so amazed by this team of 15, the love and care these dogs get shows in their cheerful attitudes and willingness to work.

Still praying for safety and a great finish.

Thank you for these updates, I check multiple times a day as well as keeping the tracker running too.

Thanks for sharing this…and thank you Mother Nature for no wind up there on the Dome!

  • Thank you for that view, just beautiful. I noticed the dogs were getting a bit of a step up when they noticed the difference in elevation. Beautiful.

  • Thanks for sharing, beautiful view of scenery and dogs in beautiful rhythm. I bet they wonder why Allen is talking so much. Good job all of SP Kennel.

  • That is a great video. Thanks to Allen for taking the time to capture some of the trail. Aliy-cams are the best, but this Allen-cam is wonderful. Quite coherent for the lack of sleep. Go Dogs!

  • Thanks so much again! The scenery is lovely, but my favorite part is just watching the dogs trot along. It's my favorite view when triking my 2 dogs. I love husky butts. They seem as happy as the husky "smile" face. Thanks, Allen!

  • Superb video, absolutely magnificent views.

Thank you for sharing a very special moment of the race Allan.
