Since the Black Team left us in Dawson at 9.18pm on Wednesday we have been somewhat incommunicado. You all have likely known more about what was going on that we did!

What we know is that Allen and his team mates took their mandatory six hour rest in Eagle and left at 4.58am this morning with all 14 dogs still on the line. Right now they are resting at Trout Creek Hospitality Stop, enjoying a rest in the heat of the day before continuing on to Circle City.

Meghan and Mark are on their way to Circle to greet them.

Our drive home was long; and it felt even longer as most of it was during darkness. We did get treated with sightings of some exciting wildlife: wolf, lynx, moose, bunnies and squirrels!

All the Red Team dogs are very happy to be home and at their houses. We’ll do a Red Team YQ300 wrap-up soon. Until then, have a guess who Aliy’s MVD was – see if you get it right!

  • I'm guessing Junior as MVP because I am one of her fans. She is so beautiful like her Mama, Olivia. That is an awesome picture of the black team. And it's so great that the Black team is still running with 14 dogs. Anxiously watching the outcome from Central Oklahoma where it's sunny & 64 degrees.

  • I don't know but I am very happy that Allen still has all 14 dogs with him. I think that is just amazing!

  • I'm guessing Mr. Beemer with all his legendary wisdom and sweetness and adorability and skills and grit (can you guess that I love Beemer???) would be the main support. Also, Chipper and Kodiak for their enthusiasm and zest!!!
    Love you all!!!

  • One of the veterans, Olivia or Beemer? Beemer right? Or second time little pro Sandy? her partner Chipper, super dipper? Ugh! No, it was your Pony MIsmo! Right?
Maybe it should have been Aliy for running her own race, then shooting off to handle for Allen.
So many amazing team members to choose from…

After I read the post, I'll get it right. 🙂

  • I think I sent it in already, but just in case – I'm with Lourdes (and Nessmuk now, too)…BEEMER.

So glad to hear your "voice" again! KAZ was super great, by the way. And those at home are so proud of the job the Black Team is doing!!!

  • I think it's Junior. She seemed to be listening to Ray 's pep talk at the start 🙂 It's awesome Allen still has 14 dogs with him. Go Black Team ★☆★

  • Well, it's hard for a middle of the pack dog to stand out, isn't it? And swing dogs are really, really important as well as leads … while I know that both Olivia and Beemer were rock solid – well, I expect it of them. I would put MVP as the one who works the extra bit, harder to get the job done and with success – so I am going with Kodiak or Junior.

  • I did post a comment to this post on your post on a FB, however, I want to comment again!!! You guys and Allen and the dogs on the Black Team are just as good as it gets!!!!
You are STARS!!! Love you ALL!!! ❤️💖💙💜💛💗👣🐾

  • Kodiak or Beemer. But all the Red team are mvp's. Thanks for the post & picture of Allen and the 14 team members of Black team. Glad you are home as all the dogs are also. On to Circle.

  • Well we have to vote for Beemer!
Wonderful teamwork by everyone. So happy for you all.. Tom & Cindy Eckhoff & Hoss
