  • Woof, woof!!!

Tig looks as if the wide river is a bit too much, even for a Lab! ("I hope my SPK leader doesn't throw a ball in the water just now…").

Thanks so much for this/these pics here on August 22nd – at the time I'm viewing them it appears "Current SPK weather" (at the bottom, left, of the page) says…39 degrees F.

Can sled dog season, training semester, be far away???

  • Tig in her glory – at the front of the boat .. ah the life of a bird dog.

The contrast between summer and winter got a laugh out of me. After all the rain, I for one, am not in that much of a hurry for winter .. but to be fair, this San Diegan probably never in a hurry for winter.

I just enjoy it when it gets here and SPK has a WHOLE lot to do with that.

  • Tig does not look super excited to jump into the Chena River(i bet he dipped a toe in & it was too cold).
The contrast between now and winter is what makes Alaska so special. It will soon be time for training to begin. Yeah!

  • What a difference a season makes!! I have that feeling too when I'm canoeing a lake that I ice fish in the winter….there is something about walking on top of the water in the winter…then whoosh…spring comes and that frozen path is gone till next season!

  • That is some huge difference! And Tig is making the best out of it! 😃❤️(Go Tig) 🐾🐾
Thank you so much for sharing your lifestyle with us!!!! (Go Aliy and Allen) ❤️😍👣👣
