The four of us along with 24 canine companions are packing up ready to head to the North Slope area, about 400 miles north of the kennel.
This will be the “last hurrah” for us for this season and we’re excited to get out there in the arctic wilderness for a fun and relaxing trip before we head our separate ways for the summer (or in Moira’s case: winter). We wish we could take the whole yard with us!

What a great way to end the season….2 legged and 4 legged friends on an awesome camping trip! I look forward to pics of your trip on your return….but am already bumming about the crew going their own ways….I know this happens every year but still bums me out! You guys ROCK!

I think the four-legged participants are going to really miss you guys – and it is lovely to have this week with them before you "break camp" for the non-mushing season!!!

Could you please post the roster of which pups went with you? I guess it's kind of a bittersweet occasion because the race season is over and, the four of you will take different 'trails' for the summer. HOWEVER, it is also a wonderful celebration of your combined success as a team!!!!

What a fantastic racing season for all the human and canine athletes. Congrats to each and every one of you!! You all deserve to treat yourselves for a job extremely well done!
