  • What a beautiful picture! Job well done to Allen and his entire team! Having travelled to Alaska twice, it's been a joy for my entire family (including kids aged 6, 8, and 10) to follow the race with our eye on Allen and Aliy! We are so proud of your accomplishment! Enjoy some well deserved rest!

  • Love your updates. And I love seeing them on Facebook but I wish you'd allow commenting by those who follow you. It's hard to give feedback. 🙁 We followed the race for the first time this year as part of my son's fifth grade project. Aliy was one of our two mushers and we were really pulling for a win this year. But so glad to see you all made it to the finish and dogs are doing well! Looking forward to next year.

  • Way to go Black Team! I have been glued to this and the iditarod insider to keep up with Allen and his team.

Great Job Red and Black Teams!

  • Great job Allen and the Black Team!! You posted great time from Safety to Nome! You and everyone at SPK are an inspiration…..I am in awe of you all!! Congrats and enjoy that steak!!

I'm beginning to feel withdrawals…..no more SPK Teams to watch on the tracker! What a year!!

  • Yippeeee. Welcome home Allen and most awesome dogs ever!

Great race. Glad you are back with family.

  • Way to go Allen and Black Team!

Maybe a special belly rub for Mismo, Felix, Izzy and Outlaw for completing their first 1,000 mile race! (if I checked the stat's correctly).

I've come to expect posts and I'm going to have some serious withdrawals !!! You guys and the precious dogs are like 'idol/role model/family!
    Many blessings to you ALL!!!!

  • Awesome! Congratulations Allen!!!

So wonderful to see – the Black Team is the future of SP Kennel, and I look forward to following your exploits!!!

And I am grateful and proud that I was able to get to sponsor one of Olivia and Nacho's pups from the FIRE litter, and look forward to continue sponsoring her as she grows up and takes her place in the pantheon of memorable racing dogs of SP Kennel!

    Woof, woof, woof!!!

  • Who is the big tough sled dog now? I hope there is a story to come!

  • Welcome to Nome, Allen, Beemer, Lester & rest of Black Team . So glad you are all safely back. What a race. The young dogs had quite a learning experience. Enjoy the steaks & rest.

  • Huge congratulations to both of you, Allen and Aliy. It was certainly an exciting year to follow you both along the trail. You can be very proud of your own performance and that of your dogs, the result of many many hours of hard work all year long.
This year has just increased my "pride" at being an SPKennel fan. Not just because of the excellent results in the races, but because you both handled some very difficult situations with much grace, courtesy, class and kindness. That means more, in my opinion. I hope you both get some much-needed rest and down-time now!

  • Love this picture! Great job this year, Allen & Aliy. We have truly enjoyed following your teams' progress throughout the race and we hope to see pictures of Rambler soon!

  • Wonderful finish. The video on the Insider was memorable with some great shots of Allen, Aliy and the dogs. Thanks so much for taking us along on this great adventure called the Iditarod!

  • I'm glad Allen & team are back safe in Nome. What a race! Thank you again entire SPKennel crew/family for sharing what you do with all us armchair mushers. I so admire your committment, determination, & hard work.

  • Thanks so much for all of your sharing, the team on the trail, the dogs, and the team behind you.

We have been so eager for every crumb of information in watching you on this journey.

Hope the two of you quickly mend your bumps, bruises and torn things without issue. Catch up on your sleep and bask in another year of accomplishment!!

This was another nail biter year and one that has been very difficult – an ultimate challenge.

You are both so courageous and such great role models for many to emulate!! We are so very proud of you!!
