Allen, Beemer, Viper, Rambler, Lester, Outlaw, Mismo, Felix, Bonita, Izzy, Tug, Puppet and Fang are through Safety and are heading towards Nome!

They have made great time from White Mountain doing that stretch in 6 hours, 16 minutes with an average of 8.78 miles per hour. They pulled out of Safety with the same official time of 6.01am as Paul Gebhardt and his team. You can guarantee Allen will have been working hard behind the sled trying catch them having left White Mountain 51 minutes behind them.

They have just 22 miles left. They will climb one last hill, over Cape Nome, before dropping down to the pack ice towards town. Their run down Front Street and up under the burled arch will be the final act in this year’s SP Kennel Iditarod. We expect it to be a highly emotional moment for us all.

GO TEAM! WE’RE SO PROUD OF YOU!

Pictures and video as soon as we can.
