It’s official… Aliy and the Red Team have won the Yukon Quest 300 mile sled dog race!

With a total time of about 2 days, 8 hours and 30 minutes, the team ran a very fast pace.

Congratulations to Aliy and all her fantastic SP Kennel dogs!

  • Great redemption for last year! Going FBKS to WH seems to be her lucky direction. Perhaps 2016 YQ1000???? Congrats to dogs and Aliy. Kudos to handlers, drop bag packers, weary drivers and everyone else who help the SP Kennel mushers be winners – it's a team effort so team recognition is in order. Y'all are fantastic!

    Now back to obsessing over Allen's tracker…

  • Congratulations Aliy! We couldn't be prouder of you! I found out the news while I was at work, in the break room. I let out a yelp of joy before I realized what I was doing. Heads turned! I'm pleased as punch for you, you've worked so hard. Best wishes as the season continues. We're all pulling for SP Kennels here in northwest Ohio!
