  • WOW WOW WOW!!!! I LOVE Aliy Cam!!! What beautiful footage of the gorgeous trail! It's the closest I'll ever see of it! Thanks, Aliy for sharing!

  • Aliy, I have no words to express my admiration for you and your dogs! On all those difficult miles, you kept in control of your team, enjoyed the scenery, AND took videos, talked to your pups, AND they were so well trained that they NEVER took a single wrong turn!!! You and your dogs are truly special!!!

  • Thanks for sharing, Have never followed a race before. But thanks to Jennifer Nelson I have enjoyed both the 300 & 1000.Congrats on the win will be looking forward to the next one which she has already told us about. Thanks again from a Okie follower.

  • Loved the video! Birch Creek was gorgeous and Medicine Lake was eerie looking. Thanks so much!

  • Wow!,Alyi! Thanks for this video!Just seeing this from the mushers perspective is wonderful.Beautiful music of the sled and the dogs feet along with the raw natural beauty surrounding the racers.

  • Thanks so much for this adventure!!! 4 little Biscuits in the wheelie spots on this team!

To actually see the ascent to the peak in your video…and then, still in the fog and mist diving down…what a team!!!

Breathtaking landscape – an ice palace!

    Awesome.

  • I always tried to imagine that trip in winter .. It is plenty long in summer across dirt roads to Circle City. It amazes me that you can keep the sled from catapulting down Eagle summit and in a snow blizzard, the value of a good lead dog can't be measured in money.

The video brought back vivid memories of that trip.

  • That was awesome!! Dogs looked great and you sounded in great spirits! I'm sure the Team picks up on your positive energy! Gorgeous scenery! Thanks for sharing!

  • That was fantastic – thanks so much, I really enjoyed seeing the trail. Birch Creek didn't look at all like I pictured it, I was expecting narrow, tight tree-lined trail and it was so wide and expansive, so thank you so much for giving me an image to show what it's really like. Winning the race and having time to take video? SP Kennel is just awesome! Thanks Aliy!

  • hat is the name of the team dog on the left, just in front of the wheel dog. she/he seems to always look back in your videos to see if you are still there!!

  • SP Kennel clearly knows the value of their fan base, and we, the fans are so lucky because of that. It is amazing to get a glimpse of Eagle Summit, and the ice and frost on the trees is amazing to see…thank you so much for your generous sharing….it is why we LOVE SP KENNEL!

  • Looking back identity: might be either Nelson or Mismo* based upon Red Team list prior to the race,

    FOOTNOTES OR PAW – NOTES:

The RED team was difficult to finalise! Aliy wishes she could take a team of 18 or 20 down the trail as there are that many dogs that are willing and able to go. There are some great dogs that will unfortunately have to warm the bench at home. In the end she has decided on HONDA and PUD to lead the team from 2nd Avenue with WILLIE and RAMBLER, VIPER and WAYLON, SISSY and SCOOTER, *MISMO and NELSON, FELIX and IZZY. You will notice a decided young-Latino bent to the back end of the team! Check out the Red Team Race Roster Page for more info.

  • Aliy and the SP Crew: I always look forward to the perspective you give your fans. Thanks so much for taking us along on your ride!

  • Thank you for sharing. I was in Anchorage and Willow last year for the starts of the Iditarod and got hooked. Love following these races. I even met your folks at the hotel dog drop in Anchorage one afternoon and learned a little more about mushing. Nice people.
