Allen and team have had just over six hours rest in Unalakleet and are now back on the trail. He left at 11.03pm and still has 13 team mates on the trail with him.

He is heading towards Shatoolik and will travel through the “Blueberry Hills”. We thought you might enjoy seeing some “Aliy Cam” from last year’s race when she travelled through this section which is one of her favourite parts of the whole Iditarod Trail.

  • Nice video. Woke up and had to ck the tracker. I See Aliy is heading down hill off Little Denali, just 4 mi's to catch Mitch, then a flat run to an 8 hr rest in Wt Mt. It's a good race!!! King tried to break away yesterday, but did it work???? Maybe not. Using Jeannies e-mail, shshsh. Bob Mc

  • SP Kennel team you are just the best ever! Thanks so much!

I have lost track of who has been dropped from red and black and who is still out there racing. Can you give us an update on this?

Again, Iknow you are all very excited, and your hard work on this site is just incredible!

  • I was so excited to wake up this morning and see Aliy in second place…especially after all the major media seemed to have counted her out (they were busy reporting on the testosterone battle instead–which makes me especially grateful for your updates). We've been rooting for her all the way. Between last year and this year, my nine-year-old, Sally, and I have become such huge Aliy fans that this morning, when I couldn't wake Sally up for school, I put an Aliy "Meet the Dogs" video from You Tube on my phone next to her…that did the trick! 🙂
