Allen and the Black Team pulled into the finish line at about 11:22AM this morning. SP Kennel crew are excited with the great finish! We think this race time might set the record for the race, but must wait for the official times to be posted. It was sure lucky bib #5 for both Aliy and Allen this weekend in both their race wins. It’s wonderful to see our race newbies Chemo and IV coming across the line in their first mid distance race! There are some great photos of Allen and his leaders, Quito and Olivia, on the Copper Basin 300 website http://www.cb300.com We’ll have more photos and video from the finish line as soon as the dogs and Allen are made comfortable after their big finish. So exciting – way to go Allen and team and Aliy and team. I think this may be a season to be remembered. Can't wait. Thanks to Mac for all the interpretive informantion. Love that you have not drifted away. Happy is probably loving the local weather!
Congratulations, Allen and Black Team dogs. I do believe that Allen DID break the course record. According to their website, the fastest time was 48 hours, 58 min. Allen's fastest was 52 hours, 26 min.

Fantastic! So happy for Allen, the dogs on the Black Team and the whole SPK family. A smart, strategically planned race by Allen which was exciting to follow. I'm always proud to be a fan, but especially happy for today's outcome. Congratulations.
