  • Holy Cow! I have read about the Blow Hole in the detailed notes of the routes between checkpoints, but that is totally incredible – having to be sure they guide landward so steadily.

Since the most daring thing I ever do is drive a car and fly in airplanes, once again I am in awe of what Aliy, Allen, Bridgett, and Ryne face with grace and daring.

  • Thanks for the great video! Can't wait to show it to my kids at school. We talked about ground blizzards as a hazard on the trail.

  • I loved the "tundra" comment. What an unbelievable experience it must be to trek all across Alaska, and then race hard at the finish! Wow!

  • amazing you kept filming. Great job. thanks for sharing.

  • And you thought you had escaped all the bad weather this run!

Yikes, it's like going over moguls at the ski run! And those dogs just soldier on. Well trained.

I didn't know that locusts traveled in herds….
    🙂

  • I am a new dog sled racing fan and this is my first time following the Iditarod. I have really enjoyed your blog and absolutely LOVE the Aliy Cam.

  • OK, that is just awesome. Only Aliycam would give us footage of the Happy River Steps and the Blowhole of Doom! I kept reading about this (Iditarod site's descriptions of parts of the trail) and trying to imagine it. Thanks for showing us forsthand!
