As I am making this last post of the day, Aliy just went through Iditarod. They are not showing her out yet on the standings, but she is out on the GPS. I am sure Aliy will run as much as she can tonight, out of the heat of the day. Allen is approaching Iditarod. Looks like he had a great run.
As I said earlier today, Mickey brought a photo card back with her from McGrath. This is the first footage from the 2011 Aliy Cam. Enjoy.

This the time in the race that I become a pacer. I've seen her leap frog along this section before, resting and running at different times from the pack and always doing well – but it still drives me crazy. I know once she hits the river, like John Baker says, her race begins .. but it's pins and needles until she gets there.
Allen is running a great race this year and I am happy to see him edge out of the mid pack to push the top 20.

To make top ten, I think Aliy needs to be able to edge out Linton, Buntzen, and Lindner. Then she has to hold off Jonorwe and Royer. I don't know that I see any weakness in the others in the front pack, except maybe Hugh – who is unpredictable.
Maybe Mike Williams Jr will slow. Jessie is especially tough to beat at the end because she cuts rest along the coast and Aliy might need to match that if her team is up for it.
All of this is very possible by the way her run schedule has been looking!

Whoot! Aliycam rocks! Last year I couldn't watch (dialup!), this year, DSL. First thing I did was look up Aliycam. Thanks for taking us along for the ride with the Big Dogs.
I've tried to shoot footage from a rig with a mere two dogs… arrrghhh! Awesome job, do more.
