Allen crossed the Finish Line of the 2o11 Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race at 6:44 pm AST with 10 dogs to a large group of friends, family and spectators in 6th position. He was so excited to be there. The dogs stopped just shy of the finish line, not having seen that many people in about 11 days. It was an incredible sight to see the dogs appear out of the fog on the river with only a slight glow from Allen’s head light. And then they were there. Fabulous job by canines and musher.

When asked if he was ready for the Iditarod, Allen laughed and said he was pretty much used to it all. We will let him sleep in his own bed for a couple of weeks. Here is a video of Allen’s finish.
