  • I had my fingers crossed that Alan would pull it off seeing how much time he made up in the previous segment. A hearty congratulations non-the-less for a wonderful second place.

  • You gave Jeff King something to think about Congratulations finishing with all 12 dogs!

  • As much as I wanted Allen to win, I am very grateful to Jeff King. Here's why…..I visited his kennel in June of 2008. Because of that and a side trip to a glacier where I got to ride along on a dog sled team, I decided I wanted to go on a dog sled adventure.

Enter Jeff King again….a friend who wanted to go on a dog sled trip with me had a chance to speak to Jeff at a book signing and asked him if he had any recommendations for dog sled trips. He told her about Aliy and Allen's Natural Extremes Dog Sled Adventures.

We had the most amazing week long trip with Allen, Aliy and the dogs up in ANWR last year. It gave us first hand experience with having our own dog sled team, hooking them up, taking off booties and putting on blankets, feeding them, chopping ice for water and getting to know the Iditarod dogs – those who have run the Iditarod and those who were in training! It was an experience I will NEVER forget!

Allen and Aliy, great job on the race! Anxious to hear when Bridgett will get in! She looks like she's having a great time! And you can sure tell how much you all love the dogs!

  • Allen,

Congrats on a great run…to bad about the tangle. Aliy, nice showing and a good training run for the Iditarod. Best of luck also to Bridgett. Take it back to Jeff at the Denali Doubles.

  • Personally, Allen has placed first in my book!

The dogs come first and the race second.

Congrats on finishing with a full team.
