In Part 2 of Aliy’s “Woodcutting Road” trail video, there are a couple of treats in store for you. First, Aliy exchanges taunts with a bothersome raven, surely something you won’t see and hear every day! Second, Happy The Sled Dog puts on a show that her fans — and everyone! — will surely enjoy.

  • These videos are such a treat to watch. Who would have though that a chance encounter at Lake Wenatchee State Park with Mac would have addicted me to this site. Mac, my boxers Ruby and Styder say hi

  • Howdy Frank! I remember you and your dogs… "Hi" back to Ruby and Spyder… What fun that you're now "addicted" to the Dog Log! To think, we met in Wenatchee on my first road trip in my new camper… I've done about 20,000 miles since then and now it's serving me well in Two Rivers, AK… So far so good, staying warm at least down to -35 degrees… If everything keeps working, I should be good to go! thanks for following the Dog Log! — Mac

  • Sorry Folks… I just can't help it! Every time I look at that photo of Happy it cracks me up!… For those of you who are her fans, I promise I'm working up some great stuff for her on the Dog Log… It will be ready to launch soon(ish) and in plenty of time for her to maybe be a star of the Iditarod again!

  • Can't wait to see more about Happy. One of the great regrets of my life is that I didn't get to see you greet Happy at the finish line in Nome. My friends and I had gone back to our B&B (at the far east of town) because we heard Allen wasn't going to be coming in until real early in the morning! We just got snuggled down in bed when we heard the siren go off announcing Allen's arrival! Got the radio tuned in in time to hear the interview, but missed the "show"!

  • Hey Linda… I can't make any promises, but I think you might want to book your return visit to Nome… You never know what might happen this year, and you don't want to miss it twice!
