  • Way to go Aliy and the Red Team!! It was quite the challanging trail….they looked GREAT coming over the finish line! Good Dawgs!!!!! We are VERY proud of you all!

  • AMAZING RACE ALIY! 😀 I was cheering for you the whole race! You did fantastic! Good dogs Dutch and Chipper for leading the team into Nome! Great job Aliy and doggies! 🐕🐕🐕

  • Congratulations Red Team! We are so proud of you! I love the picture of Kodiak with Driver in the background. It’s like they are movie stars and know when and how to pose for the camera.

  • Congrats! Great finish. What a race! Hard run, difficult conditions mean nothing to the team that can lean on each other. That trust means everything.

So proud of everyone. It’s been lots of fun to watch as always and thanks to Moira for all the great updates and “flashbacks.”

Get some rest (especially Allen, boy do you look tired)

    Yeah Team!

  • Congratulations to the Red team for persevering through a tough race. It’s been a difficult Iditarod for SPK and they have shown true professionalism in their handling of it.

Hope Allen is feeling better, I can’t imagine how sick he must have been to make the decision to scratch. Kudo’s to the Black team for making the miles they did. Definitely a learning experience for the young dogs.

Aliy and Allen and all the 4 footed companions, it has been a great year following your teams from Arkansas. Already looking forward to next year!

  • So glad all are safe and back together again. Rest, relax – you have been through another epic adventure. Congrats!!

  • Welcome to Nome, Aliy & Red Team. Proud of all of you. Great to see Allen in Nome. Sorry haven’t been able to post very often, have been slammed with tax returns.

  • Love and hugs to all the team mates on both teams. So proud of all you accomplished under very difficult circumstances. Well done SPK!!

  • Congratulations to the entire Red team Aliy, Dutch, Chipper, Kodiak, Spark, Clyde, Rodney, Five, Nomex, Driver, Violet, Champ, Cayenne, Scooby, Junior, Felix and Commando. What a challenging race, and you all ran it well.
    Rest up.
    🙂

  • Sorry I missed the finish line for SP Kennel. At least I saw the video when I got up this morning. Glad everyone is safe and resting. Feel better soon, Allen.

  • Those kids were so precious! I saw Aliy come in but didn’t know what the sign
the kids were carrying said. Thanks! What can ya say about the Aliy and the Red
Team. Just fabulous! Glad to see Violet made it the entire 1000 difficult miles
at times. It’s all a team effort tho so Congrats Doggies! Rest Well Heroes!

  • So impressed with the wonderful success you have, no matter what the conditions or challenges might be.

  • Thanks ever so much for taking us on this remarkable ride. Congratulations to Red Team!!! And to Aliy for first female musher across the line this year!!!

A also wish Allen a speedy recovery and also to his team, who must have wondered why Kaltag was the finish line this year!!! Hoping the 4 legged team members had safe travels from Kaltag.

    WOOF WOOF WOOF

  • Wedgy and I were watching on the Irod Live stream and Kale’s FB Live and cheering!
    Congratulations Aliy and team!

  • Congratulations SPKennel. Although there were some “bummers”, you (Aliy, Allen and the Team) have proven, once again, your excellent attitude and care of your teams!! We wish Allen a speedy recovery! Thanks for all the pictures and postings to make this a really great experience for us “armchair” mushers and “couch potato” retirees.

  • I stayed up to watch Aliy welcomed into Nome by Allen, the great SPK crew and lots of adoring fans. It was very good to see. I could also hear the group howl and I think a few dogs joined in too! Aliy has commented in the past that she feels like she is the weak link in the team, but that didn’t seem to be the case this year. I know it is a challenge in a team sport to have all team members performing well at the same time. Everyone was certainly in high gear on the final run into Nome from White Mountain.

I have learned from following the Iditarod for a few years that you can never anticipate what will happen and this year was no exception. But, SPK always gives it their best and it was inspirational to watch it again this year.

Best wishes to Allen to get back to good health quickly.

  • Yeah Aliy!

Great job once again, and there was your beautiful smile and perky dogs at the end.
