SP Kennel’s Black Team at the Iditarod 2010 finish. Allen Moore and twelve fantastic dogs — Butterscotch, Petunia, Teddy, Oddball, Beemer, Ranger, KitKat, Roy, L’il Debbie, Bonita, Viper & Rambler — crossed under Nome’s burled arch in 35th position after 10 days, 23 hours on the Trail. This was also Allen’s fastest time in his four Iditarods!

  • Congrats to Allen and the Black Team. I heard you say the dog lot is full. What happens to the dogs that come in now and don't have someplace like Bridgits to go to?

  • Congrats Allen and the Black Team!! you guys were awesome. Thanks Mac for the video and the intro to all the dogs – that was fun! Sleep tight babies, you deserve it. Sindy

  • cool!
    dogs look great.
Allen seems to be a great puppy-trainer: gentle, patience, having fun (as idit-pictures show …)

MacG: looks as if your race is also over: get a rest & thanks for the great reporting.

  • Congratulations to Allen and the black team!

Libby, I think there is an overflow lot on the edge of town they use when the first lot is full. You can see the trackers hanging out there sometimes confusing us. The SP Kennel teams have the advantage of a Nome 'headquarters' at Bridgett's, and presumably they decided that a was better and/or more accessible place for the gang to hang out.

  • That was a great video! Loved seeing all the dogs! How long do they stay in Nome and how do they get home? When they are at Bridgett's house do they all get to free rome around in her yard?

  • Congrats Allen you have brought 12 happy pups in. You, Aliy and Bridgett are a great team and are building a great kennel.

  • I watched a lot of dogs come down that street in the past few days and Teddy by far had the biggest smile I've seen! Way to go Teddy! They looked like very happy dogs- great job Allen!

  • Thanks for all the fantastic reports, video, pictures and overall great coverage from the beginning of the season through the Iditarod! It's been so much fun to be a part of it. I hate to see it end.

Mac, what are your plans now that the Iditarod is over? Where will you go and what will do?

Aliy and Allen, hope to get a report back as to how your Natural Extremes trip to your new location works out? Would love to hear about in some future blog!

  • Congratulations! Glad everyone's safe and sound! Did I see Aliy greet the dogs before greeting Allen? She truly is "dog first"!

  • Great video! I got on one of the streaming video sites from Nome just in time to see Allen come in with the dogs, but this video was so much better. Nice to see Aliy and Allen back together. Especially liked the intro to each of the dogs—after all, that's what it's all about, right?

  • Yaaa congrats puppies and Allen. Simply AWESOME to take a puppy team and complete this long race with the athlete pups looking sooo good in the end!

Thank you spokesperson (sorry I don't know your name) – you do a great job at making all these videos and posting them so fast! You have great narrative on each one you make. They are so perfect and you are allowing us all to experience the real Iditarod in the comforts of our home.

  • The dogs all look healthy and happy. Oddball seemed to have lots of energy left. Bonita did extremely well. She'll be able to brag to Nacho, Chica and Quito! Chica will be able to boast about riding in the car! The dogs like Mr Macgellan talking to them. Congratulations Mr Moore, for finishing your 4th Iditarod.
